Ana Margineanu is a graduate of the Bucharest University for Theater and Cinema Art, with a degree in theater directing, class of 2001. Since then, Ana has directed over 20 shows, she attended the Lincoln Center Directors Lab in New York, she became a member of DramAcum, and set up, together with American director Tamilla Woodward and playwright Peca Stefan, PopUP Theatrics, a company that creates site specific theater, in international art collaborations. The most recent PopUP project is the Parallel City, an immersive trilogy in Timisoara. The first part of the trilogy premiered in August 2021, followed by installations in 2022 and 2023, as part of the Timisoara European Capital project. \nAna's shows have been staged in Argentina, Austria, Bulgaria, the UK, Mexico, Germany, |Switzerland, Spain, and Italy.
